On the day of 28th September 2016, MoU has been signed by Saveetha Dental College and Hospital, Saveetha University with Dr. Akhila Muthukrishnan, Specialist in Special Care Dentistry ABM University Health Board, United Kingdom. This MoU will facilitate to conduct student and faculty research projects, Clinical trials, Students and staff exchange programs, Internship programs for students, Fellowship programmes, Doctoral and Post Doctoral Programmes for faculty and students.
The department of Oral Medicine, Saveetha Dental College invited Dr. Akhila Muthukrishnan, an specialist in Special Care Dentistry ABM University Health Board, United Kingdom to deliver a lecture on two topic
1. " Why Oral Medicine is best suited for Special Care Dentistry"
2. "Management of Head and neck cancer patient"
All the students and staff were benefitted by the lecture
Dental camp was conducted by the Public Health Department, Saveetha Dental College. about 82 students were benefitted.
Free dental camp was conducted at the Pupil school, where the children were given oral health education and screened.
As a continued service of the free dental camp, about 346 students were screened and given oral health care.
Free dental camp was conducted at the Pupil school on 19th September 2016 where children were educated on dental health and directions given on how to keep their teeth clean.

He gave lecture on the topic "Human Oral Micro biome interaction' at the Watson & Crick hall, Saveetha Dental College
Dr.Sathyanathan Nadarajah, member of Dean’s faculty & clinical instructor, School of Dentistry, University of Maryland, Baltimore, MD. visited our college and signed an MoU with Saveetha Dental College, Saveetha University on 8th of September 2016.

Free dental camp was held on 30th August 2016 at Shri Ramachandra School at Nerkundram by the department of Public Health Dentistry, Saveetha Dental College, about 200 students were benefitted.
Free dental camp was conducted at the Govt. Primary School Chitlapakkam by the Department of Public Health Dentistry on 29th August 2017, by which about 51 children where benefitted
Help Age India Camp was conducted at the Government Primary School located in Tambaram, chennai on 28th August 2016 by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Saveetha Dental College. About 61 people were benefitted through this camp.
Free dental camp was conducted at Dayasadan Agarwal Vidyalaya School by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Saveetha Dental College. By this camp about 186 students were benefitted where they were screening and given dental awareness .

On 25th August 2016 an MOU was signed between the Saveetha Oral Cancer Institute and Rotary Club of Royapettah, Chennai. Rotarian T. Ganesh President of Rotary club signed the MOU and agreed to conduct free cancer screening camps in and around Chennai and refer them to the Saveetha Oral Cancer Institute. where the institute would provide free treatment for marginalised sections of the society.
