The university results have been published for September 2016. Both First and Second BDS score very well with a 97% pass. Biochemistry department again rocked the results with 71 distinctions followed by Pharmacology (46) Microbiology (40) Anatomy (36), Pathology Dental materials (32). Overall we are very happy with these results. Congrats to all students and staff.
Virtual Restoration with CAD-CAM ,Tips and Tricks for all ceramic restoration on 2nd October 2016
The department of Tessellation had conducted a CDE programme on One Day Hands on Course on CAD CAM for the dental practitioners. The programme was conducted at the CAD CAM department, Saveetha Dental College which started at 9.00 am and ended around 6,00pm. Dr. Ashok Head of the Department and Dr. Revathy Gounder( Organising Committee) welcomed the gathering. Delegates from Thiruvannamalai, Chennai and Coimbatore attended the programme.
The programme began with the guest lecture on “ Tips and Tricks for all ceramic restoration” by Dr. Revathy and CAD CAM Digital Dentistry by Dr. Ashok. All the delegates efficiently participated in the hands on and experience covered the tooth preparation on individual patients, isolation methods, intraoral scanning, designing of their crown milling and final cementation of the crowns on patients.
The CDE courses provided a systematic approach to learn how to prepare all ceramic restoration for chair side milling utilising CAD CAM Sirono Software with Blucam
Free dental camp at St. Peters & St. Pauls Orthodox Church 2nd October 2017
The Department of Public Health Dentistry conducted a free dental camp at St. Peters and St. Pauls Orthodox Church on 2nd of October 2016. About 115 people were benefitted by this camp where the public who came for the church were given awareness regarding the health care and diagnosied.
