In addition to their main dissertation, the post graduates also do 15 short term projects involving multiple facets of research including KAP surveys, material sciences, diagnostic techniques, systematic reviews, case control studies,Cohort studies and Clinical Trials. 

The Research projects are stringently scrutinised by a well established Scientific Review Board and Institutional Ethical Committee. The postgraduates are trained in Research Methodology, Biostatistics, evidence based medicine, manuscript Writing, Cochrane Systematic Reviews in the beginning of their post graduation course. 

The postgraduates present their completed research projects in the Postgraduate Saveetha Transdisciplinary Annual Research Summit. Most of the postgraduate research projects are published in renown peer reviewed Indexed journals with a high Impact factor. 

The Research projects have also drawn much attention and won numerous awards in many National and International conferences.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY and BiOSTATISTICS TRAINING

The Postgraduates are trained in Research Methodology and Biostatistics in a week. They are grouped into small numbers and each group has a facilitator. They have lectures and activities during the entire module and are formatively assessed for each session. 

EVIDENCE BASED DENTISTRY TRAINING

Students undergo training on systematic review based on Cochrane and Prospero guidelines. They decide on a title during the course and complete the systematic review during the second year of their post graduate training programme.

MOLECULAR TECHNIQUES TRAINING
