Saveetha Orthognathic Symphosium

Perfect human face is de novo gift. Iatrogenically creating this to satisfy the patient; and to achieve functional optimacy requires commendable skills.

Being a renowned centre for orthognathic surgeries, our aim was to share our experience with the budding surgeons, and give them a feel of osteotomies through our workshop. With this, we hope to inspire and encourage young surgeons to perform orthognathic surgeries with confidence.

Day 1: Hands On workshop

Saveetha’s Orthognathic Symposium started off with a hands on workshop where the delegates were exposed to maxillary and mandibular osteotomy procedures which they got to practise on skull models using bone saws and other high end surgical instruments, usually considered a novelty in most teaching hospitals.
