Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics organized a webinar on 27.9.20 titled “What does it take to perform a successful endodontic microsurgery?” presented by Dr. Sharaschandra Reddy, an endodontist also an alumini of Saveetha Dental College. Currently a Resident doctor, pursuing advanced endodontic program at School of Dental Medicine, University of Buffalo, NY. Endodontic surgery has now evolved into endodontic microsurgery. By using enhanced equipment, instruments and materials that match biological concepts, it is believed that microsurgical approaches produce predictable outcomes in the healing of lesions of endodontic origin. The speaker shared the experience in the way “endodontic surgery” transitioned to “endodontic microsurgery”. The presentation walked one through the process of planning and performing an endodontic microsurgery.
