Founder’s Day celebration on 15th November of every year is a most expected event by the students and faculty. This is a gala celebration where the students and faculty are recognised for their whole year of hard work. The event was presided by our Honourable founder, Chancellor, Dr.N.M.Veeraiyan, SIMATS. Student and faculty from across all the institutions under the SIMATS umbrella attended the event. The Chief Guest was Mrs. BHARATHI BASKAR, al fine orator addressed the students and emphasised on the importance of hardwork and self confidence.
SIMATS university takes pride in honouring the legends in various fields. It includes Dr. R. P. Shanmugham sir, an eminent gastroenterologist and the founder and chairman of RPS Hospital, Chennai, in the field of Medicine.Honourable Justice K. Gnanaprakasam sir, former Judge of The Madras High Court, in the field of law. Prof. Dr Neelima A. Malik Mam, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Vice Chancellor, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Deemed to be University, Karad, Maharashtra, in the field of Dentistry.Ms. Aparajitha Balamurukan, National Squash Player from the Indian Team, in sports.
The toppers from all the departments received a waiver of fee. faculty with highest number of publication, publication with high impact factor and cumulative impact factor were all awarded. There were cultural program by the students. All the Principals, faculty and non teaching staffs wished our Chancellor for good health.
